Difficult to see from this side-on view, the Te Rewa Rewa Bridge in New Plymouth is designed to resemble both a crashing wave and whale rib cage. On this morning in New Zealand I was lucky enough to capture this unique bridge along with some of the best colored skies I saw my entire trip.
Named Castlepoint (or Castle Point depending on the source) by Captain Cook, the long peninsula of rock made for both an ideal and necessary location for a lighthouse to aid in navigation.
